The Examiner reports that two people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Curtis Cail, 23, who was killed at the McDonald's on Fillmore and McAllister last month. A second victim, a 27-year-old woman, was shot but survived.
21-year-old Kenya Cyprien and 21-year-old Johnny Jackson were booked on suspicion of murder, being in a gang and violating a protective order. Jackson was also arrested for conspiracy charges and violating probation.
The shooting may be part of an ongoing feud—Cail was suspected of being involved with the shooting of James Earl Lee in May of 2012, but charges were dismissed in 2013. Chief Suhr told the Examiner that he believed Cail was targeted, though it remains unclear if the recent killing was in connection to the murder of Lee.
