The block of Market Street between 8th and 9th streets has been closed off after a suspicious package was found outside of the Wells Fargo location at 1266 Market. According to an officer on the scene, the package appears to belong to a disabled man who lives in an SRO on the block, and left it outside.

F-Market trains have been halted in both directions, and Muni is re-routing buses to Mission Street to avoid the commotion. We'll update with more information if and when the block is reopened.

Update, 3:05pm: The block has been cleared and Muni service on Market has resumed.
