If this weekend's El NiƱo storms are anything like earlier in the season, be sure to keep an eye out for archeological curios unearthed at Ocean Beach. Until then, you might want to check out some of these neighborhood events.

You can stay dry under the living roof at the California Academy of Sciences, which is free this weekend if you live in the 94121 Outer Richmond zip code. Mark your calendars for March 11th, when an Incoming! new planetarium show about asteroids hits, narrated by George Takei.

Swell Bicycles is celebrating two years in business on Saturday with a good old-fashioned block party. Hook Fish and Co. is providing the fish, Velo Fromage is bringing cheese, and Fort Point Brewing's on beer duty. There's also live music, a raffle, kid's races, and an honest-to-goodness button maker.

Speaking of old-fashioned: ODSY Workshop and Shoe Repair (who we recently profiled) will teach you how to make your own women's moccasins this Sunday. They provide the tools and the know-how; all you need to bring is socks to wear with your freshly sewn footwear. Space is limited to four, so reserve your spot early.

That same afternoon, the Irish American Cultural Center is hosting a harp concert and beginner's workshop, part of the 2016 Irish American Crossroads Festival. Award winning Celtic harpist Lisa Lynne, who specializes in traditional acoustic folk music and rare instruments, performs. It's $15 for the concert only, and $30 for both.

Now, on to your weekend events. Remember, if you're interested in being included in a future roundup, you can submit your event here. And be sure to visit hoodline.com/events for info on all the events going on around the city.
