Get ready. There's much to do around the neighborhood this weekend.

Starting with tonight, the Asian Art Museum is launching its first Tasting Menu. The food-focused event series aims to connect local "foodies" with the culture and objects in the museum’s collection. Tonight's inaugural event features Mariko Grady, founder and entrepreneur of Aedan Fermented. She'll share the importance of nature and life-cultured foods to Japanese cuisine. You'll get to taste Grady's miso over a mini rice ball, and try your hand at making miso soup to take home. The event is free with the museum's $5-after-5pm admission fee. But it's first come, first served, so get there early.

While the team at RS94109 are still putting the finishing touches on their revamped record store, coffee shop, and hangout space, that's not stopping them from enjoying the music. Local DJs, including the shop's owner, will be spinning from 7-11pm Friday, April 15th.

Housing—the hottest topic citywide—is the focus of Exit Theater's latest production, "San Francisco, Here I Come!" The show tells the story of one apartment and seven different tenants who "dared to change themselves and the city around them" over 10 decades. There's two shows a weekend from now until May 7th.

Saturday is Obscura Day, a global celebration of exploring the unknown, and the Tenderloin Museum is hosting an evening with local magician and storyteller Christian Cagigal. Grab a ticket to expand your mind with magic tricks woven into fairy tales, dark fables and stories of strange happenings. (Update: the event has sold out.)
