Karl the Fog is back in town, but you don't have to let him take over the next seven days in the Outer Sunset. There's lots to do on the west side!
If you didn't wake up in time to bike to City Hall with Supervisor Katy Tang and Nomad Bicycles for Bike to Work Day, you can still get a workout in by taking part in an evening of free yoga on Ocean Beach, hosted by Phoebe Licata Yoga.
Saturday is an art lover's dream, with four events at the Outer Sunset's art galleries. Start your day off with Santiago Gervasi's gallery opening at Far Out Gallery, then head over to Irving Street Projects for a talk by UC Berkeley's Dr. Justin Gomer, who will be discussing the political landscape after 1968 as part of the exhibit News Today: A History of the Poor People's Campaign in Real Time. In the evening, Artisans of San Francisco hosts their monthly meetup for artists and framers; round out your day of art with a concert at Honey Hive Gallery.
Bay to Breakers is the headlining event on Sunday, with runners and partiers making their way to Ocean Beach, where there will be a Finish Line Festival with live music. If you're looking for something quieter to do, Sivananda Yoga is hosting a gluten-free vegan baking workshop.
Finally, if you've ever harbored dreams of owning your own business, Parkside Library is holding a workshop on small business basics on Tuesday.
Here are all the events coming up this week in the Outer Sunset. For more fun around the city, check out our full events calendar at hoodline.com/events. If you have an event you'd like to add to our calendar, you can submit it here for free.
