Karl the Fog is fickle, but there's a barrel full ofevents this week you can add to your calendar: Cole Valley morphs from mild to wild in its Sunday street fair, D5 Supervisor candidates go mano a mano in a Thursday-night forum, and Circus Center combines cocktails and contortions for two evenings of adult fun.

Bring it, Sunset.

Thursday, 6pm: District 5 Candidate Forum

Candidates for the District 5 Supervisor seat will meet tomorrow night in a forum at Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption (1111 Gough St.) The forum will moderated by local reporter Nuala Sawyer, formerly District 5 editor for Hoodline.

Doors open at 6pm; incumbent London Breed and attorney Dean Preston will begin their discussion at 6:30, and the forum will conclude at 8:30. For those who can't attend, we'll publish a recap of the session on Friday.

Sunday, 10am-5pm: Cole Valley Fair

More than eighty vendors will descend on Cole Street on Sunday to take part in the annual Cole Valley Fair, a festival that brings live music, street food, a vintage car show, historical presentations and other activities to the otherwise sleepy neighborhood.

Representatives from large and small businesses will staff booths with contests and giveaways, while other tables featuring local makers and crafters will offer bargain-hunters the chance to get a jump on their holiday shopping. Children (and whimsical adults) will appreciate face painting, balloon sculptures, a bouncy house, and other pursuits. Admission is free; take the N-Judah, and get off at Carl & Cole.

Here's a look at what else is going on in the Inner Sunset over the next week. For more activities around town, or to submit your own, visit hoodline.com/events.
