It's been another busy week in the Haight, and we're here with your weekend lineup and a look at the week ahead.
First, Friday Nights at the De Young tonight is, among other things, a collaboration with Cine+Mas, the San Francisco Latino Film Festival. The Koret Auditorium will host a screening of eight short films directed by California filmmakers.
Lest you forget, Sunday from 6-7:30pm is the next presidential debate. If you're politically inclined, you can watch our presidential hopefuls go at it, preferably somewhere public and where the booze is plentiful.
And if you're trying to round out the weekend with a little weird science, the Red Victorian will be hosting a lecture on "Collective Decision Making and Task Allocation in Ants," certainly an unprecedented offering in the Upper Haight. The night's talk will focus on ants and eusociality. RSVP recommended.
Here's your full roster of events through the weekend and beyond for the Upper Haight. As always, roll over to hoodline.com/events for citywide goings-on and to submit events of your very own.
