One man sustained life-threatening injuries and another was arrested following a stabbing yesterday afternoon on the 1000 block of Gilman Avenue.

The SFPD reports that the victim, a 34-year-old man, and the suspect, a 39-year-old man, were fighting around 3:15pm on the 1000 block of Gilman Avenue—where Bret Harte Elementary School and Gilman Playground are located. As the fight ensued, the victim grabbed a board and the suspect stabbed him multiple times. 

Responding officers arrested the suspect, and the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
