A man suffered life-threatening injuries in an assault in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood early Saturday, police said today.
Police officers spotted a fight in the area of 30th and Mission streets in which one person was on the ground with a person on top of him at 1:24am Saturday, police said.
The suspect, described as an 18-year-old man, ran away as police pulled up but officers were able to catch and arrest him at the scene.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police did not immediately release the suspect's identity this morning.
