Here's a sample of recent criminal activity in the last two weeks since our last recap. Unless otherwise noted, all crimes reported have been taken from the SFPD blotter.

Two Suspects Assault, Rob Man On Minna 

On August 12th at 1:45am, a 38-year-old man was injured in a robbery involving two 30-year-old male suspects. The suspects—one riding a bike and one riding a skateboard—approached the victim near the 600 block of Minna Street.

The first suspect brandished a knife and demanded the victim's wallet. The second suspect then struck the victim with his skateboard and took the victim's property-both suspects fled eastbound on Minna Street and no arrest has been made. The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. 

Man Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries In Hit-and-run 

Earlier this week, Hoodline reported on a hit-and-run that caused life-threatening injuries to a 21-year-old man on Harrison and Folsom streets at 2:39pm on August 10th. As of today, no new information has been released by SFPD on the victim’s current condition or if an arrest has been made in the incident. 

Assault With Baseball Bat 

A 27-year-old man was injured during an assault on 6th and Natoma streets on August 9th at 7:45pm. The suspect, a man between 20 and 25 years of age, approached the victim and hit him with a baseball bat with no apparent provocation.

The suspect (who has not been arrested) then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was hospitalized for his injuries, which were described as non-life threatening. 

Man Punches Woman, Steals Phone

At the 500 Block of 9th Street, a 38-year-old woman was punched and robbed by a 30-40 year old male suspect at 10:43pm on August 8th.

The suspect approached the victim who was standing on the sidewalk with her phone out, punched her and grabbed her cell phone. The suspect then fled on foot eastbound on Bryant Street and threw the cell phone on the ground, breaking it. No arrest of the suspect was made and no hospitalization was required. 

Robbery Near 6th & Mission 

On August 1st a 48-year old man was injured during a robbery on 6th and Mission streets at 4:30pm. The 50-year-old male suspect approached the victim, (who was sitting on the sidewalk) punched him, and took his wallet.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was hospitalized. No arrest was made in the incident. 

Intruder Robs, Assaults Minna St. Resident

At 2:30pm on the 31st of July a 39-year-old man was assaulted and robbed inside his home on the 500 block of Minna Street.

The victim was in his home when a male suspect between 45 and 50-years-old entered the premise and and approached him from behind. The suspect then struck the victim and held him down, taking his money and cell phone. The victim fled in an unknown direction and no arrest has been made. The victim was hospitalized for his injuries which were described as non-life threatening.
