A 40-year-old man has died in Potrero Hill in what police are considering a homicide. According to Bay City News, the victim has been identified as Kenneth Babers.

Police discovered his body on the 100 block of Dakota St., near the southern end of the Potrero Hill Recreation Center. 

The man is presumed to have died of gunshot wounds between 7pm on Wednesday and 8:24am yesterday morning.

We've reached out to SFPD for further details and will update this article when we hear back. 

Update, 12:30pm: The victim was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds in a residence, said Officer Robert Rueca, SFPD spokesperson. He said that while medical units rendered aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rueca said that he could not say more on the incident or suspects at this time. "It’s all still pending investigation," he told us.
