Here's an overview of notable incidents reported around the Castro since our last crime roundup.

All reports come from the police department's daily crime recaps, unless otherwise noted.

2 suspects rob Twin Peaks victim at knifepoint

On December 16th at 5pm, a 32-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint on Twin Peaks. The man was taking photos when two male suspects, 20-25, approached him from behind with a knife and demanded his belongings.

The suspects fled on foot with the victim's cameras, photography equipment, phone, wallet, and money. No arrest was made.

Multi-vehicle collision sends 2 to hospital

On December 11th around 8:40pm, multiple vehicles were involved in a collision at the intersection of Noe, Market, and 16th.

The crash, involving a UCSF shuttle bus and three other vehicles, sent two drivers to the hospital and resulted in hours of traffic problems around the intersection.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Hot prowler steals bikes, skateboard

Overnight between December 10th and 11th, a 29-year-old man went to sleep in his residence near Eureka and 19th.

When he later awoke, he discovered that his garage door was open and an unknown suspect had stolen bicycles and a skateboard. No arrest was made.

Man steals Chihuahua after verbal altercation

On December 9th at 5:36am, a 20-year-old man stole a chihuahua from two victims as they walked near Market and Castro. The two female victims, 46 and 49, were initially approached by the suspect before a verbal argument began.

The man then grabbed the dog and fled. No arrest was made, and the dog has not been recovered.

5-on-1 armed robbery

On December 8th at 4:30am, five male suspects approximately 16 to 17 years old approached a 48-year-old man in a car near Church and 19th, brandished a gun, and demanded his property.

After he complied, the suspects fled in their vehicles with the victim's belongings, including a watch, laptop, and money. No arrests were made.

Man arrested after attempted robbery

On December 5th at 3:30am, a 38-year-old man was sleeping near Church and 16th when another man, 26, began arguing with him. The younger man then punched the older victim and attempted to steal his belongings.

The suspect was arrested and the victim received non-life threatening injuries.
