A new spot to score pizza and more has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called Echo's, the new addition is located at 3200 Banks St. in Mid-City.
Three local food entrepreneurs—restaurateurs Theresa Galli and Gavin Cady (1000 Figs) and baker Kate Heller of Leo's Bread—teamed up for the pizzeria, which offers wood-fired pies, Eater reported.
On the menu, look for pizzas like the chorizo, with tomato, fresh mozzarella and oil-cured olives; a mushroom pizza with shiitake, oyster and cremini; and the lamb sausage with kefir feta, roasted onions and oregano.
There are also small plates available to complement your meal, including anchovies with bread and butter, dandelion greens and yogurt, and cannellini beans with kale and parmesan. (Take a look at the full menu here.)
Echo's has gotten good reviews thus far, with a four-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp.
Deah G., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on February 11th, said: "We were really impressed! Italian-style pie; excellent thin crust. The mixed green salad was so good, amazing lemon vinaigrette. Roasted red bell pepper was served room temperature—nice touch!"
Yelper Kyle B. added: “Echo's Neopiltan Wood Fired Pizza is delicious! So glad to finally have a nice complement/alternative to Mid City Pizza in the area. We got the margherita, and it was fantastic—tasty and light!”
