If taquitos are what you're after, look no further than this new business. The fresh arrival to Roscoe Village, called Kite String Cantina, is located at 1851 W. Addison St. (near Wolcott Ave).
This newcomer is a project from husband-and-wife team Andrew and Renee Ragin. The duo has partnered with the Footman Hospitality Group to for Kite String, which features draft brews, "bubbler cocktails" and taquitos, according to the business' website.
For libations, expect to see signature cocktails like passion fruit punch, hibiscus negroni or coconut horchata. If you're looking for something a little more traditional, there are drinks like peach pisco sour, a chocolate old-fashioned and a Manhattan.
If you're going the food route, look for taquito variations like chicken in green mole, pork and pineapple and three-cheese potato. There are house-made dips on offer as well, like Guajillo ranch and tomatillo avocado. (You can check out the full menu here.)
It's still early days for the fledgling business—it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.
Matt K., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on March 22nd, said, "Great addition to the neighborhood! The bubbler cocktails are all tasty and poured generously...you get your money's worth. I love the simplicity of the menu. Come here to drink great."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Kite String Cantina is open weekdays from 3pm–2am, Saturday from 3pm–3am, and Sunday from 3pm–midnight.
