The Tenderloin Police Station yesterday arrested nine drug dealers in the neighborhood through a buy-bust operation. Cops at the station have also been busy responding to robberies and stabbings since our last roundup.

All details are from SFPD reports unless otherwise noted. Please note that the Tenderloin station extends across Market down to Mission Street.

Purse snatcher steals woman’s wallet

A man said to be in his early forties snatched a 46-year-old woman’s purse on the 800 block of Larkin (near O’Farrell) around 4:30pm on April 1st. The man pulled out the woman’s wallet, fled the scene, and has not been identified.

Man robbed at knife point in BART station

A 26-year-old man was exiting a train at the Civic Center BART station near UN Plaza and Market Street around 6:00am on April 1st when a man said to be in his twenties approached him with a knife. The suspect stole the victim’s backpack and has not been identified. 

Man stabbed by unknown suspect

Around 7:00pm on March 31st, an unknown suspect stabbed a 64-year-old man on the 300 block of Ellis Street (near Taylor) with a knife. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect has not been identified.

Trio robs restaurant patron

A 34-year-old man was sitting at a restaurant on the 900 block of Market Street (near Powell) around 10:40pm on March 29th when a woman said to be 25 years old stole his phone from the table. 

The victim tried to get his phone back but was attacked by the robber and another woman around 30 years old. Both women fled the scene with the victim’s phone. 

During the melee, a man said to be around 30 took the victim’s laptop from the table and fled. No arrests have been made.

Man robbed by woman he invited home

Around 4:30am on March 29th, a 33-year-old man invited a woman he knowns, said to be in her twenties, into his home. The woman let in another woman, said to be around 30 years old, who pulled a knife on the victim and demanded money. The two women robbed the man and fled.

Man robbed while paying at market

A 44-year-old man was paying for items at a store on the 200 block of Leavenworth (near Turk) when a woman said to be 50 years old reached for his wallet, stole his cash, and fled westbound on Turk. No arrest has been made.

Man arrested after punching, robbing woman

Around 3:37pm on March 28th, a 30-year-old woman was holding her phone in her hand near the intersection of 4th and Market streets. A 25-year-old man punched the woman, causing her to drop her phone, which the suspect picked up, but he was stopped by witnesses and arrested.

Young adults rob woman at UN Plaza

Two males said to be 18 years old walked past a 25-year-old woman around 10:14pm on March 27th near Market Street in UN Plaza. 

The two men circled back and demanded the woman surrender her phone. The suspects fled the scene with her phone. No arrests have been made.

Bicyclist shoots woman with air gun

Just after 3:00am on March 27th, a 41-year-old women standing in a bus shelter near the intersection of 6th and Market streets was approached by a man on a bicycle who yelled at her and shot her with an air gun. The man rode away and has not been identified.

Store blaze lit by unknown man 

Just after midnight on March 27th, a man entered a store on the 100 block of Hyde Street (near Golden Gate), threw flammable liquid around, and fled once the store was on fire. A 32-year-old man extinguished the fire before city responders could arrive. No arrest has been made.

Woman robbed by two 20-somethings

Two men said to be in their twenties approached a 24-year-old woman near the intersection of Market and Powell streets around 6:00pm on March 26th, assaulted her, and stole her backpack including a laptop, watch, wallet, and cash. The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and the suspects have not been identified. 

Man steals beers after bottle attack

Around 1:30pm on March 26th, a 60-year-old man was exiting a store near the intersection of Turk and Leavenworth streets when another man asked him for money. The suspect hit the man with a bottle, and stole beers from the store. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and no arrests have been made. 

Men robbed by duo at gunpoint 

Two men said to be in their thirties approached two other men, one 29 and one 28, near the intersection of Leavenworth and McAllister streets around 10:45pm on March 23rd. The suspects robbed the victims at gunpoint, stealing their backpack, camera, passport, and cash, before fleeing in an unknown direction.
