Time for another look at notable crimes reported in the Castro since our last roundup. Unless otherwise noted, all details are from SFPD reports.

Man stabbed in fight with two suspects

At 1:30 a.m. on May 27, a 24-year-old man got into an altercation with two other men, 20 and 24, near 18th and Castro streets. After the fight broke up, the man realized that he had been stabbed and was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests were made.

4-suspect attack in Dolores Park ends in arrests

Later that day at 7:19 p.m., four men between the ages of 25 and 28 attacked a 24-year-old man in Dolores Park. At least one of the suspects used a sharp object, inflicting non-life threatening injuries. Police arrived, arrested all four suspects, and the victim was transported to a hospital.

Trio of suspects attack, rob two victims

On May 22 at 7:51 p.m. near 17th and Dolores streets, a woman, 50, and a man, 35, were approached by three suspects in their early twenties.

The trio demanded the victim's belongings before attacking them and stealing the female victim's ID. After the assault, the suspects fled in a vehicle, and the victims were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Argument leads to box cutter attack

On May 17 at 1:24 a.m., a 20-year-old man got into a verbal argument with a man and woman, both 25, near Market and Dolores streets.

The older man pulled out a box cutter and cut the younger man several times before both suspects fled on foot. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and no arrests were made.

Man stabs victim who tried sitting next to him

Also on May 17 at 9 p.m., a 58-year-old woman attempted to sit next to a man near 14th and Market when she lost her balance and dropped her phone. Upon picking it up, she saw that her hand was bleeding and the man then fled on foot.

Man demands money, attacks victim

On May 16 at 1:22 a.m., a 30-year-old man approached another man, 25, near Noe and 19th and demanded money.

When the younger man said that he had none, the older man attacked him with an unknown object and fled. The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, and no arrest was made.

Police seek Dolores Park dog attack suspect

On May 13 around 11:45 a.m., two dogs allegedly attacked another dog and bit four people in the off-leash section of Dolores Park. When police arrived, the guardian (pictured at the top of this article) of the aggressive dogs had left the area.

Three of the four victims who suffered bite wounds were transported to a hospital and the maimed dog was treated by a veterinarian.

Police are asking anyone who has information about this case and the suspect to call the department's Vicious and Dangerous Dog Unit at 415-553-9182, call SFPD's 24-hour tip line at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411 and begin the text message with "SFPD." Callers may remain anonymous.

Burglar enters home through window, steals belongings

On May 12 at 4 p.m., a 53-year-old man was in his residence near Prosper and 15th when a male suspect in his forties, entered the residence through a window. The suspect stole a laptop, wallet, and credit cards before fleeing the residence. No arrest was made.

Neighbor alerts resident to break-in

A 51-year-old male was the victim of a hot prowl burglary overnight between May 9th and 10th. He was awoken by a neighbor who alerted him that his garage door was open near 17th and Dolores. Upon investigation, he discovered broken glass and missing bicycles. No suspect was identified.
