After 22 years, local chain Pizza Orgasmica has closed its doors, Hoodline has learned.
Reader Mario T. alerted us to the closure of the pizzeria's Fillmore Street location, but it appears that the entire chain has ceased operations.
The business' website leads to a blank landing page and its Yelp pages indicate all locations have closed. When we called the Fillmore location, an automated message indicated the number had been disconnected.
Last summer, the chain's San Rafael location quietly closed after operating in the downtown corridor for more than six years, according to Marin Independent Journal.
The company's Inner Richmond District outpost at 823 Clement St. closed in 2015. Last summer, NoPa's Barrel Head Brewhouse began the process to expand to that location, Eater has reported.
That same year, Gina Gochez, one of the company's co-founders, took over Pizza Orgasmica's location at 2 Embarcadero, renaming it 'Gochees Pizza'.
Thanks to Mario T.!
