A new Indian spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Tava, the newcomer is located at 801 Magazine St. in the CBD.

Situated in the Auction House Market, Tava offers dosa, uttapam and kati rolls with fillings like potatoes with coconut and cilantro chutney, chole chaat, paneer and chicken with turmeric slaw and peanut chutney.

It's still early days for the fledgling business — it's got just one review on Yelp thus far.

"The food at the Auction House Market foodhall is delicious with lots of great vendors, but Tava should not be missed," said Rebecca F., who reviewed the new spot on May 24. "The menu at Tava caters to all, with a variety of options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. If you're seeking a vegan and gluten-free meal packed with amazing flavor served by a friendly owner cooking up his mom's own recipes, you've hit the jackpot."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Tava is open from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 10 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
