Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is a Japanese sushi bar that specializes in hand rolls, which come stuffed with salmon, bay scallop, crab, tuna, lobster, eel, toro, yellowtail and more. You can order a set of rolls for a combo discount, from three rolls to six. It also offers salmon and tuna sashimi, edamame and miso soup.

The new sushi bar has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of 32 reviews on Yelp.

Todd S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on July 21, wrote, "Service was excellent and the staff was very informative, but most importantly the food was delicious. We split their six hand roll set menu so we could try a little bit of everything. The fish was fresh and flavorful."

Yelper Kristen H. noted, "Crispy seaweed, warm rice, cool fish. Flavors and textures so good I didn't even need the soy sauce. Made as you eat them, super fresh and unadulterated."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is open from 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 5–11 p.m. on Friday, 5–11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon–9 p.m. on Sunday.

Thaya Cafe is a Thai and Laotian restaurant with a menu that includes Sriracha fried rice, pad tung tac (choice of protein, plus flat rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts, broccoli, dried chiles and peanuts, flavored with sweet Thai soy sauce) and tropical curry featuring pineapples, onions, mango and cashews.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, Thaya Cafe is getting positive attention.

Julie H., who reviewed it on July 28, said, "This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area. It's family owned and a bit hidden from view in the Villages of Woodland Springs retail strip, but easy to find. My favorite is the pad se eew. The egg rolls and sticky wings are also great."

And Brooklyn R. wrote, "There are only the mom and son working, so you would order at the counter, and they will bring out the food and drink. It is not a full-service restaurant. ... Their food is authentic Thai and delicious."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Thaya Cafe is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 4–9 p.m. on Sunday.
