Two women were killed in two separate traffic collisions in Russian Hill yesterday.
At 6 a.m., 23-year-old Concord resident Jessica Christie was riding her motorcycle eastbound on Broadway, when a vehicle collided with her near Powell Street and ejected her from the motorcycle. She was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver remained on the scene, according to the Examiner.
In a second incident later that day, 86-year-old San Francisco resident Ying Kuang was struck by a commercial vehicle while walking in a crosswalk at Powell and Vallejo streets.
Kuang was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 49-year-old man, also remained at the scene, and was not arrested.
