It's time for another roundup of notable crimes responded to by the Tenderloin Station in the two weeks since our last report. All details come directly from SFPD reports, unless otherwise noted. 

Pipe attack suspect still at large

Around 11:41 a.m. on January 27th, a suspect struck a 29-year-old man in the face with a pipe near the intersection of Golden Gate and Hyde streets. The suspect, a man said to be in his early twenties, fled the scene and remains unidentified. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Man robbed of backpack, cash

An unknown male suspect approached a 32-year-old man near the intersection of Turk and Mason streets around 2 a.m. on January 27th. The suspect threw the victim to the ground and then stole his backpack, including his wallet, money, and ID, before fleeing the scene.

Stabbing suspect arrested

About 20 minutes after midnight on January 26th, a 46-year-old woman armed with a knife chased a 64-year-old man on the unit block of 6th Street (near Market). The woman scratched the man with the knife before police arrived and arrested her. 

Pickpocket escapes in unknown vehicle

Around 6:16 p.m. on January 23rd, a man said to be in his twenties approached a 29-year-old man near the intersection of Turk and Leavenworth streets, stealing money from his pocket. When the victim tried to follow the suspect, a second unknown man threatened him. The two suspects entered an unknown vehicle driven by a third suspect and fled the scene. 

Man punched and robbed mid-morning

A man said to be in his early twenties punched a 42-year-old man near the intersection of Leavenworth and Turk streets around 11 a.m. on January 23rd. The victim discovered his wallet was missing after the assault. The suspect, who fled on foot, has not been identified. 

Daly City suspect arrested in serious November assault

SFPD announced on January 23rd that a suspect has been arrested in a November assault that left a victim with life-threatening injuries. 

With the assistance of Daly City Police, SFPD officers arrested 26-year-old Daly City resident Devonte Talley-McGee on January 2nd around 9:39 p.m. Accused of an assault that occurred at 7:19 p.m. on November 26, at the intersection of Market and Jones streets, Talley-McGee was booked into the county jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious injury, and an outstanding warrant. No further updates on the victim’s condition have been provided. 

Man stabbed in three-on-one attack

Around 2:30 p.m. on January 21st, three unknown suspects approached a 29-year-old man on the 1000 block of Market Street (near 6th). One of the suspects cut the victim with a knife before all three fled in a vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made. 

Carjacker arrested 

On January 20th around 10:30 p.m., a 37-year-old man approached a 23-year-old woman driving a vehicle near the intersection of Hyde and McAllister streets. The man told the woman to get out of her vehicle, she complied, and he drove away. The suspect was later located by the SFPD and arrested on charges of carjacking. 

Teen arrested after stealing woman’s phone

Around 11:45 p.m. on January 19th, a 17-year-old male pushed a 26-year-old woman to the ground near the intersection of Powell and Market streets, then stole her phone. Officers later found the suspect and arrested him.

Man arrested after stabbing 

A 40-year-old man stabbed a 38-year-old man during a fight near the intersection of Eddy and Leavenworth streets around 6:54 p.m. on January 17th. The older man was arrested on the scene.

Man stabbed in mid-morning altercation

Around 9:30 a.m. on January 16th, an unknown suspect and a 48-year-old man got into a physical altercation near the intersection of Larkin and Myrtle streets, in which the suspect stabbed the man with a knife. No arrest has been made.
