It's time for another look at notable crimes reported by SFPD's Tenderloin Station in the weeks since our last roundup. Unless otherwise noted, all details come directly from police reports.

Victim suffers broken jaw in brick attack

Just after midnight on March 23rd, a man said to be 34 years old hit a 30-year-old man in the face with a brick on the 1100 block of Market Street (near McAllister). The victim suffered a broken jaw and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The suspect has not been identified. 

Woman robbed on Market Street at high noon

A 29-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Seventh and Market streets at noon on March 22nd with a man said to be in his early twenties approached and pressed a hard object against her. The suspect demanded the woman surrender her phone. After she complied, he fled on foot and has not been arrested. 

Man robbed at gunpoint in three-on-one attack

Around 4:30 a.m. on March 20th, three unidentified men assaulted a 30-year-old man near the intersection of Turk and Leavenworth streets. The suspects brandished a gun and stole the man’s backpack, including his wallet, keys, and passport. The victim suffered cuts to his eyelid and forehead; the suspects remain at large. 

Man arrested after pool cue attack

A 34-year-old man was arrested around 6 a.m. on March 19th after a physical altercation with a 35-year-old man at Fulton and Larkin streets. The two men started arguing near the intersection; the suspect then went to his vehicle to retrieve a pool cue, which he used to strike the older man. The suspect was arrested on scene.

Woman assaulted on St. Patrick’s Day

Around 10 p.m. on March 17th, a woman, said to be in her early thirties, hit a 36-year-old woman near the intersection of Ninth and Market streets. The suspect, who fled the scene, has not been identified. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Man robbed by duo after fight

A 50-year-old man and two men of unknown age started fighting near the intersection of Ellis and Jones streets around 5 a.m. on March 17th. The victim was uninjured, but the suspects stole his wallet, tools, cash, phones, and jacket. 

Woman attacked by stick-wielding man

Around 5 a.m. on March 13th, a 53-year-old woman was attacked by an unknown man with a stick near the intersection of Eddy and Hyde streets. The woman was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Woman loses phone in late-night attack

Just after 11:30 p.m. on March 12th, a man, said to be 25 years old, pushed a 48-year-old woman on the 200 block of Leavenworth Street (near Turk). He then grabbed her phone and fled. No arrest has been made.

Man robbed, assaulted after being escorted home

A woman said to be in her forties escorted a 37-year-old man home to the 400 block of Leavenworth (near Ellis) just after midnight on March 11th. The suspect then proceeded to go through his pockets, stealing the victim’s money while a second suspect, an unidentified male, assaulted him. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and both suspects remain at large. 

Man loses scooter, cash in two-on-one attack

Around 11:00 a.m. on March 9th, a man said to be in his fifties and a woman said to be in her forties approached a 17-year-old male on a scooter on the 1100 block of Market Street (near McAllister). The suspects stole the victim’s scooter and money before fleeing on foot.

Man arrested after threatening woman with knife

A 35-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man got into an argument around 12:40 a.m. on March 7th on the 200 block of Turk Street (near Jones). The man then swung a knife at the woman, and was arrested at the scene.

Man robbed in two-on-one attack

Around 10:50 p.m. on March 6th, a 24-year-old man was approached by two men said to be in their thirties near the intersection of Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street. The two suspects demanded the victim hand over his money, which they stole. The victim wasn’t injured, but the suspects remain at large.
