Pinewood Derby

If you've got the need for speed, check out a pinewood derby fun run at the Indiana State Museum. Bring your own car or purchase a kit to decorate and race on the museum's two-story 125-foot track. Guests can also design their own derby car and race suit at a sketching station. Compete in the youth (ages 5–16) or adult (17 and up) category. 

When: Tuesday and Wednesday, April 4–5, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The Best in Show competition is Saturday, April 6.

Indianapolis Oddities & Curiosities Expo

If you love to scour flea markets and antique shops for unusual items, check out The Oddities & Curiosities Expo on Saturday. Expect to find taxidermy mounts of animals, antiques, jewelry made from bones, skulls and insects, original artwork and more. Guests can also enjoy sideshow performances and live human suspension all day. VIP entry is available from 10–11 a.m. This event is suitable for children.
