A new vegan eatery has made its debut in the neighborhood. Called 10th Street Diner, the newcomer is located at 3301 E. 10th St. in Near Eastside.
10th Street Diner offers a variety of dishes, all 100% vegan. From plant-based lasagna to pot pie to meat-free burgers, this spot hopes to satisfy your cravings whether you are vegan or not.
Co-owner Will Holmes told IndyStar that being vegan doesn't have to mean giving things up.
"We're trying to show people you don't really have to give anything up ... if you do it right," he said. "Basically, we're trying to make it easier for people to be vegan or even be vegan for a day."
10th Street Diner has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp.
Kari M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 17, wrote, "This place is amazing. Their seitan is to die for, the chili cheese fries are no joke and the Reuben is outstanding. My partner and I plan to try everything on the menu."
Yelper Andrea H. added, “Thank you for opening and bringing delicious food to this corridor! The meatballs are outstanding, I wish I had gotten 10 orders of them.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: 10th Street Diner is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and is closed on Sunday.
