And Christian W. wrote, "Uplands newest location in Fountain Square does not disappoint. A U-shaped bar with three tap stations will come in handy with all the seating they have inside and on the patio."

Maialina
1103 Prospect St., Fountain Square

Maialina is a bar and Italian spot.
Pasta options on the menu include the Cacio e Pep (spaghetti, pecorino and parmigiano reggiano with cracked black pepper), the Gameri (spaghetti, shrimp, olive oil, garlic and spicy tomato cream sauce) and the Vodka (rigatoni, chicken and spicy vodka sauce). The restaurant also offers chicken, pork and seafood dishes, as well as flatbreads and salads.
Yelp users are excited about Maialina, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 23 reviews on the site.
Yelper Erica S., who reviewed Maialina on July 19, wrote, "For our main dishes, we split the Bolognese and Cacio e Pepe. The gnocchi was fabulous and there was a good mix of meat in the sauce. I loved the Cacio e Pepe — I'm a big cheese fan and this one had a really good, thick sauce. We also got the tiramisu for dessert — it was plenty big to split."
Yelper Ken N. added, "I started out with one of their house cocktails, the 'La Dolce Vita' which comes with gin, cucumber, lime, mint and simple syrup. The taste was really good. And I can't say enough how nicely we were treated by our waitress and the owner."
Maialina is open from 5 p.m.–9 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 5 p.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Pivot Bar and Balcony
130 S. Pennsylvania St., Hyatt Place, Downtown

Pivot Bar and Balcony is a cocktail bar and New American spot.
For lunch and dinner, consider the Nap-Town Tenders (chicken strips cooked in Indianapolis craft beer) to start, then move on to the Midwest mac and cheese (served with diced kielbasa, Jack cheese and fire-roasted peppers) and the Full Court Press sandwich (with pressed Cuban, ham, pulled pork, Swiss cheese, a spicy pickle and mustard on a baguette); its dessert menu features chocolate peanut butter cheesecake.
With a five-star Yelp rating out of five reviews on Yelp, Pivot Bar and Balcony has been getting positive attention.
Yelper Ken N., who was one of the first users to visit Pivot Bar and Balcony on July 3, wrote, "What a great setting to enjoy a beverage before an evening event downtown. What is very cool is walking out onto the balcony that provides an elevated view of The Fieldhouse and the surrounding downtown area. There is a fire pit for when the weather gets chilly."
Brooke L. noted, "When you walk in, it's so nice and open and smells really great. [There's] plenty of seating either at the bar, at multiple tables or on its outdoor patio, which sits right across from Bankers. The bartenders are incredibly friendly and the service was great."
