The Indiana Album: Unearthing Indiana’s Past in Grandma’s Attic
From the event description:
Many of Indiana's most important historic images aren't in museums—they're in the attics, basements, and closets of houses across the state. One-of-a-kind photographs of ancestors' homes, grandpa's hardware, buildings under construction, or everyday life appear regularly on social media nostalgia pages and genealogy sites but are not of high-enough quality to publish and nearly impossible to search. Worried about the loss of this heritage, the non-profit Indiana Album formed to try to save such photos, making high-resolution scans of images, cataloging them and capturing the stories behind them.
When: Thursday, Sept. 5, 6-7:30 p.m.
