New Downtown spot, Mori Sushi, offers signature rolls, ramen and morePhoto: Dongni Y./Yelp

A new sushi bar, offering ramen, bubble tea and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 231 S. College Ave., Suite 200 in Downtown, the newcomer is called Mori Sushi.

Mori Sushi offers more than 25 different sushi options, bento boxes, ramen dishes and Japanese-style rice dishes. Popular signature rolls include the spider roll (with soft shell crab and avocado topped with soft shell crab tempura, eel sauce, spicy mayo, masago and scallions). The menu also features appetizers like pork gyoza and vegetable tempura, dan dan noodles and spicy miso ramen with  crispy chicken.

Mori Sushi has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp.

Yelper Stephen B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on March 27, wrote, “Never had dan dan noodles before but was interested to try it. It was very good! Thick ramen noodles without the broth and an added kick. The meat crumbles reminded me of spicy Italian sausage— absolutely hit the spot.”

And Hannah H. wrote, "We've been missing a sushi place closer to Fountain Square and this is it. We ordered bento boxes for lunch and were not disappointed. Huge portions and a great selection of eats for the box. The chicken itself was delicious, but the California roll and gyoza were the shining stars in my opinion."

Head on over to check it out: Mori Sushi is open from 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Friday and noon–10 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
