A man is in critical condition after being stabbed by another man in the Mission District on Tuesday afternoon. 

Police say the man, 55, was stabbed near 25th and Cypress streets around 4:14 p.m. yesterday. The suspect, a 32-year-old man, allegedly got into an argument with the victim that turned physical. The victim tried to fend him off with a broom, but was ultimately stabbed with a knife.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the suspect was arrested. No further information on the suspect's or victim's identities was given, as the case remains under investigation.
