This colossal investment is a result of years of efforts by Governor Pritzker's administration to establish Illinois as a global leader in electric vehicle production and clean energy. The Gotion battery facility investment is regarded as the most significant manufacturing investment in Illinois in decades and the largest electric vehicle (EV) battery production investment in the state to date.
