
Chicago has solidified its position as a top travel destination. Two city hotels secured top-10 spots in the esteemed Readers' Choice Awards, according to recent accolades from Condé Nast Traveler.
Securing the number nine spot was The Peninsula Chicago and closely following at number 10 was LondonHouse Chicago. This recognition arrives soon after Chicago was declared the Best Big City in the U.S., reflecting the city's domestic and international appeal.
Known for its sky-high infrastructure and luxurious offerings, The Peninsula Chicago seized visitors' interest with its 19th-floor, 80-foot pool. In its review, Condé Nast Traveler heaps praise on the pool's panoramic windows, superb views, and the hotel's well-appointed guest rooms, complete with advanced in-room technology.
LondonHouse Chicago, strategically located where the Magnificent Mile meets the Chicago River, offers stunning city views, thrilling Condé Nast Traveler. Among its features are Vista rooms enclosed in glass with floor-to-ceiling windows presenting river and bridge vistas, a lively restaurant, a rooftop bar with a panoramic view, and the historical cupola to guarantee an unforgettable stay for guests.
Also making the top-50 list in the Readers' Choice Awards were two other Chicago-based hotels—the Waldorf Astoria at number 21 and Four Seasons at number 49.
The 2023 Readers' Choice Awards, now in its 36th year, utilized the insights of 526,518 respondents to determine the best hotels worldwide. In this ranking, according to NBC Chicago, Colony Palms Hotel in Palm Springs achieved the top spot, followed by the Venetian in Las Vegas, with the InterContinental The Willard in Washington, D.C. achieving third place.
