Yesterday, an 18-year-old male, Jovanni Perez, was fatally shot on 253 Locust Street, in Fall River, Massachusetts, at around 12:30 p.m. NBC Boston reported. Perez, who resided both in Fall River and East Weymouth, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Intriguingly, the police were called to the same area for a separate shots fired incident later that day at around 9:00 p.m. according to WPRI News. The officers, now currently lead the investigation with the help of the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. An increased police presence has been observed in the area

Witnesses reported hearing six to seven gunshots at the scene as stated by WPRI News. 

Meanwhile, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office will continue to thoroughly investigate this case, aiming to to deliver justice for Perez, his family and the community.
