Flames engulfed a suburban Austin home late Monday evening, as the Austin Fire Department scrambled to douse a fiery spectacle that burst from the garage and greedily clawed its way into the kitchen. Amid the chaos of sirens and the orange glow, locals were advised to give the area a wide berth. Tweeting fervently, the Austin Fire Department provided live updates on the developing situation, pleading with the public to avoid the 12400 block of Twin Creeks Road.
According to a tweet from the Austin Fire Department, crews from both the AFD and the nearby Manchaca Fire Department responded with reports of the fire, said to have ignited the night with flames in the garage before making its vicious spread to the kitchen. Spirited away by wind or fate, the flames beckoned the attention of all within sight. "@atcems also responding," noted the Austin Fire Department.
