
A CTA train collision occurred today, November 16, on Chicago's North Side, as reported by CBS News. The train was traveling on the Yellow Line when it hit a snow removal equipment at the Howard Yard, located in the 7500 block of North Paulina Street.
To this accident, tests have led a temporary suspension of CTA Yellow and Purple line services. Similarly, the Red Line service is on hold between Howard and Thorndale. In addition, as stated by the Evanston Police Department on Twitter, Chicago Avenue is closed between South Boulevard and Howard Street. The department did not provide information about when the roadway will reopen.
