
An early morning tragedy struck Chicago’s Northwest Side when a 39-year-old man was killed in a vehicle crash after his SUV rammed into multiple poles, authorities confirmed. Around 2 a.m., Chicago Police Department officers were called to a reported accident in the 4500 block of West Fullerton Avenue, where they discovered the wreckage of a silver SUV, according to ABC7 Chicago.
The collision's violence was evident in the battered state of the vehicle. First responders found that the silver SUV had hit multiple poles before the chaos finally came to a stop; the driver suffered significant bodily trauma and was swiftly transported to a Norwegian Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been disclosed pending family notification as detectives from Area Five are digging into the incident's particulars, the Chicago Tribune reported.
According to the police, no other individuals were harmed in the brutal crash.
