Miami residents will be reaching for their umbrellas and shades in what'll be a weekend with sporadic rain and a burst of sunshine. The National Weather Service forecasts "a 20 percent chance of showers before 10 am," and most of the day is expected to be "mostly sunny, with a high near 81." People in Miami can look forward to a moderate southeast wind blowing at 9 to 14 mph, occasionally gusting as high as 21 mph. Evening plans are set to remain undisturbed, as the sky clears for a night with lows around 70 and milder south winds at 6 to 9 mph.
Temperatures are primed to inch higher on Sunday, where after a "muggy start" with isolated showers, Miami will experience a warm climb into the mid-80s. According to NBC Miami, "the heat and humidity will stick around for most of the day on Sunday," before a cool front later in the day will to gradually lower the humidity and the temperature, offering locals some respite from the mugginess. Sunday’s night air will notably shift, becoming "mostly clear," as cooler northwest winds pick up to 14 to 18 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 26 mph. The low is expected to drop to around 54 degrees.
The week will start fresh as the aftermath of Sunday's front ushers in crisper days. Monday will flourish under sunny skies, a high near 68, and "breezy" northwest winds at 13 to 17 mph that will blow gusts up to 25 mph, the National Weather Service reports. The cooler change continues into the evening, with temperatures plummeting to a low of around 50, and northwest winds calming to around 11 mph.
Consistency describes the weather table setting for the majority of the upcoming week, with "Sunny," days on both Tuesday and Wednesday and highs ranging from near 70 to 72 degrees respectively, "with 8 to 10 mph" northwest breezes, the National Weather Service states. Even into the midweek, night temperatures are set to remain in the comfortable mid-50s, before climbing back into the low 70s during the day. The weather forecast suggests a return to partly sunny conditions by Friday, with a slight increase to a high near 74 as south Floridians close out their week.
