The SDPD Eastern Division received a call around 5:53 p.m. from residents who reported the sound of a gunshot. Upon arriving, found the male with a wound to his upper body. Desperate efforts to save the 35-year-old Asian male were rendered by Medics from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and Officers on-site, but ultimately, he was pronounced dead.

A relationship dispute involving the male victim and a female, during which a firearm was introduced into the argument, is known to investigators.
