A Palm Beach County man, 54-year-old John Mandia of Boca Raton, faces charges after making alarming threats on Facebook against judges and prosecutors. Mandia's post, explicit in its intent, stated, "Yo what happened to Trump happened to me first... Yo let's go kill some judges and prosecutors and [in] Palm Beach. I'm coming for you and you can't do a f***** thing about it," according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office affidavit cited by CBS12.
Deputies were alerted to Mandia's posts on February 27, after a resident reported concerns, leading deputies to uncover the threatening messages. It has been reported by WPTV News Channel 5 West Palm that Mandia had previous run-ins with the law, stemming from a domestic violence injunction case and subsequently a felony conviction for aggravated stalking.
The affidavit also describes an earlier post by Mandia from January 15, which conveys his anger over a prior prison sentence. "I did 2 yrs. in prison... My ex-wife lied, and ABUSED THE LAWS OF FLORIDA...," Mandia wrote, later adding a veiled threat, "THEY THREW ME IN PRISON BECAUSE THE ALMIGHTY JUDGE WAS INSULTED I MADE THAT TEXT... YO JUDGE... I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE... YOU BETTER HAVE YOUR HEAD ON A SWIVEL BECAUSE THIS RANGER IS COMING FOR YOU!!!!!!!", as stated in the Sheriff's Office affidavit.
Following these ominous warnings, one user wisely advised caution, worrying that such talk could land Mandia back in prison. Unfazed and fixated on his cause, Mandia responded, "thanks ... but at this point I just want to shed light on this and go public...," and continued, "I'm 54 and lived the life of an 80-year-old... so I'll go down in that blaze of glory if necessary but that f****** judge took [my] life away now that motherf***** c*** of a judge's life is mine," as reported by WPTV News Channel 5 West Palm.
Presently, Mandia is detained at the main Palm Beach County jail, his bond set steeply at $450,000. The legal system he so vehemently denounced now awaits for his date in court, his fate hanging in the balance as the echoes of his virulent posts continue to resonate within the corridors of justice and across the digital expanse.
