An early morning disturbance in the calm of Northwest Miami-Dade ended in violence when a homeowner fatally shot a man he caught breaking into his car, authorities said. The unsuccessful car thief was subsequently declared dead by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, found near the vehicle that lay littered among other damaged cars.
