Dolling up Wynwood, Miami's latest dining attraction is the Malibu Barbie Cafe, a pop-up restaurant that's equal parts nostalgia and novelty. The cafe is a collaboration with Bucket Listers and Mattel, offering a playful throwback to the 1970s Malibu Barbie era, according to Eater Miami.

Curated by Miami entrepreneur Derek Berry, this cafe is the latest in a series that previously saw success in New York, Chicago, and the Mall of America. While entertaining for kids, the cafe also encourages adult participation with 21+ disco-skating nights and a cocktail menu, as per Berry's interview with WSVN. Echoing the fashionable West Coast, the setting is saturated in eye-catching hues extending well beyond the signature Barbie pink.

The menu, created by Master Chef semifinalist Becky Brown, is a nod to Southern California cuisine with options like rainbow pancakes and avocado toast. An all-day brunch vibe caters to a range of patrons, welcoming not only children with their own menu but also adults in search of a whimsical dining experience.

Among the many photo ops is a life-size Barbie box, set against a backdrop of beach motifs and vintage touches. "We have it, a life-size Barbie box, one of the many photo ops that you get to experience," Berry told WSVN. Guests can strap on skates at the in-house roller rink, joining in the retro spirit for just a dollar, with proceeds going to Girls Inc., a beloved nonprofit organization.

Entry starts at $29, which includes a seated dining experience complete with an entrée, a side, and a cake pop dessert. For those looking to secure a spot, tickets can be purchased through Bucket Listers with early access available for hopefuls on the waitlist. For the grown-ups looking to unleash their inner child, the site promises real, not faux, cocktails to spice up the pink disco evenings.
