Officers rushed to the scene of the first shooting in east Phoenix around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, near 48th and Roosevelt Streets, where they discovered a man with gunshot wounds, 12 News reported. Hours earlier, tragedy had struck in another part of the city police were summoned to a scene near 43rd Avenue and Hadley Street, just north of Buckeye Road, following reports of a shooting there, around 5:30 p.m., where they found a man who had been shot and soon after at the hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries; his identity has not yet been released to the public. As detectives dig into the motives and search for suspects in both cases, they have cordoned off the areas surrounding the shootings, according to AZ Family.
