Authorities are on the hunt for a suspect they say was involved in a violent altercation at an MBTA station. The incident, which occurred on February 11 around 2PM at Fields Corner, left a 73-year-old man injured after he was reportedly thrown to the ground and struck with a closed fist when the victim did not comply with the suspect's demand for money. The MBTA Transit Police have turned to social media to appeal to the public for assistance in identifying the person of interest connected to this assault and battery on a person over 60.
The Transit Police shared a clear image of the suspect on their X account, urging anyone who recognizes the individual to step forward. The image, depicting the alleged attacker mid-assault, has been circulating online in hopes that tips from the community can lead to an arrest. While probing the attack, the police reminded the public that they can remain anonymous when submitting any information they might have about the suspect's identity.
