
A hail of bullets tore through a Riviera Beach neighborhood Friday night, injuring four individuals including a minor, according to local authorities. The Riviera Beach Police Department was dispatched to the scene of the shooting which occurred at the intersection of W 27th Street and Avenue O around 9:45 p.m., as per reports.
As of now, details about the incident remain sparse, police have yet to identify any suspects, and the investigation continues Sergeant Serena Spates, a spokesperson for the Riviera Beach Police Department, confirmed to WPTV that one of the shooting victims is in critical but stable condition though she could not confirm whether the critically injured party was the minor or one of the adults.
Local residents are rattled by the violence that struck so close to home, details surrounding the shooting including a motive or any connection between the victims and the assailant or assailants remain unclear; community leaders are calling for an end to the senseless violence that continues to plague their streets.
