Florida Fright as Hollywood Mom Allegedly Caged for Stomping on Infant's FaceSource: Broward Sheriff's Office

An 18-year-old Florida woman is behind bars after being accused of stomping on her infant's face, Hollywood police reported. Alicia Brea allegedly captured the act herself and sent pictures to a friend, who then alerted authorities to the possible abuse.

Hollywood Police were dispatched to Brea's home soon after the friend's 911 call, which was placed just before 6 p.m.; despite the disturbing images, officers did not find any visible injuries on the baby according to statements obtained by Local 10 News. The mother consented to a phone search allowing police to find the incriminating photo of Brea stepping on the child's face, thereby escalating the situation.

Authorities confirmed that the infant was donned in the same clothing as pictured when they arrived, bolstering the evidence of the act. Brea's mother has since taken custody of the baby, while Brea was charged with one count of child abuse without great bodily harm; she remains detained at Broward County Main Jail on a $20,000 bond, as reported by LST Promo on Instagram.

At her court appearance, the judge mandated that Brea is fitted with a GPS monitor upon release and is prohibited from contacting her child, she must also undergo a mental health evaluation within 10 days, and adhere to any given recommendations, this, as per the court documents seen by Local 10 News
