
A 61-year-old Chicago man, Mark Ickes, residing in the 2400 block of W. 103rd St., has been charged with child pornography and related offenses, according to the Chicago Police Department. The charges, categorized as felonies, include two counts of manufacturing harmful materials, using a webcam or device, and one count of soliciting child pornography from a victim less than 13 years of age.
The arrest was made by the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on June 11. Ickes was pinpointed as the individual who began communicating with two juveniles via social media on April 20 and sent them nude photos of himself, as per the Chicago Police Department. Furthermore, he requested nude photos from one of the young victims. Following his arrest, Ickes was taken into custody and charged according to the alleged offenses.
Details surrounding the detention hearing were shared, indicating that it will take place at 2600 S. California on June 13. As of now, the case is in an initial stage, with a detention hearing to address matters of bail and custody. Ickes's legal representation has not yet made public statements regarding the case.
