
A 40-year-old man is now in custody related to a fatal shooting and robbery at the Cedar Creek Marina in Wilson County, where an innocent bystander lost their life last month. According to WKRN, the incident took place on June 29 when two restaurant employees were also left injured.
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office described the event as a "cold-blooded murder" that happened around midnight in the parking lot. Besides the devastating loss of the bystander, the adjacent Cedar Creek Marina and Restaurant were the scenes of an armed robbery, which now has led to an arrest after thorough investigation by local enforcement agencies the suspect has been apprehended.
Further details released by WSMV identified the suspect as McLean, who has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated robbery. The intricate investigation brought together resources from the Mt. Juliet Police Department and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and involved coordination with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, as McLean's temporary citizenship had expired.
