The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office explained that the victim while driving himself wounded to seek aid, managed to get to a nearby Tri-Community Fire Hall. There, first responders treated his left-shoulder gunshot wound before transporting him to a further medical facility, as noted by a press release obtained by Times Free Press. Catoosa County Sheriff's deputies later apprehended a man named Michael Holloway, who was found with a .380-caliber gun.

Holloway was detained after a motorcycle matching the description provided by the victim’s daughter was stopped by deputies. Police charged him with aggravated assault. Fox 17’s article highlighted that the arrest followed swiftly due to the accurate description relayed by the victim's daughter, crucial in the quick apprehension of the suspect.

Authorities, urging witnesses who might have evidence, are requesting the public’s help.
