
The city of Nashville has been given a detailed forecast courtesy of the National Weather Service, which predicts fluctuating weather conditions for the coming days. The current situation being one of fog and mist with a near-saturated humidity sitting at 100% and a visibility of 5 miles. As for the temperature, residents experienced a warm 75°F in the early morning hours.
Today's weather is expected to be temperamental, with a 70% chance to see showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the morning hours between 7 am and 10 am, and potential rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. The NWS outlined that Nasville can anticipate partly sunny skies otherwise, with a high near 92°F and heat index values climbing as high as 106°F. There's a calm wind on the forecast set to become west southwest around 5 mph as the morning progresses, as NWS reported.
Looking ahead to the evening, the skies are to become mostly cloudy, cooling down to a more comfortable low around 69°F. The gentle breeze is set to continue, with a northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm as the night advances. Residents can expect clear skies by Saturday, with sunny weather and a high peaking near 91°F.
Moving into next week begins a pattern where each day carries a chance of precipitation. Starting on Monday, there's a 40 percent potential for showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Despite the possibility of rain, the days are forecast to remain mostly sunny with temperatures pushing up to around 94°F. The pendulum of weather swings yet again towards more unsettled patterns in the evenings, as chances of night-time thunderstorms linger throughout much of the week.
By midweek, the probability of thunderstorms sits at 40 percent, continuing into Thursday. Despite this, Nashville is looking to still enjoy temperatures hovering around the high 80s to low 90s range. Evening conditions are also likely to remain consistently warm, with lows only lightly dropping to the low 70s. The Nashville community, thus, should prepare for a mixed bag of bright skies punctuated by sporadic summer storms.
