Emergency crews responded to a major collision in Hollywood that left one person hospitalized and caused significant traffic delays during the Wednesday evening commuter rush. Rescue workers raced to the scene at Sheridan Street near 31st Avenue, where a box truck and a car had collided with forceful impact. According to WSVN, the accident took place just after 5:30 p.m. and resulted in one woman being transported to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.
Footage acquired from 7Skyforce depicted the aftermath, showing the road littered with debris and the car in question severely crumpled. Just after the female victim, caught within the confines of the wrecked vehicle, was extricated and quickly placed in the back of a rescue truck, as reported by NBC Miami, the remnants of what appeared to be the sedan's roof were discarded by the roadside. The collision's severity led authorities to close all eastbound lanes of Sheridan Street during their investigation and cleanup efforts. Despite the temporary shutdown, the area has since cleared and reopened to traffic.
