In a turn of tragic events, the Fremont Police Department has announced the apprehension of a suspect in connection to a recent homicide in North Fremont. Last Saturday evening, a woman fell victim to a fatal shooting that occurred at the intersection of Lake Arrowhead Avenue and Alvarado Road, according to the Fremont Police Department.

Authorities identified 38-year-old Krishan Sharma, who, despite a criminal record that features an attempted murder charge, was not detained at the time of the incident. Detectives, through the meticulous review of video footage and by conducting a series of witness interviews and forensic analysis, Sharma was pinpointed as the perpetrator and subsequently located. The police followed him in a brief car chase before he was arrested without further complications yesterday.
Sharma was awaiting trial for an unrelated crime and was out on bail. He is currently being charged with murder under Penal Code 187(a) and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, as per Penal Code 29800(a)(1). Authorities have now transferred the case to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, who will determine the next steps in prosecution.
