Anderson Pastor & Teacher Accused of Producing and Distributing Child PornographySource: Madison County Jail

An Anderson teacher and pastor, known as Claud "Tab" Greenlee II, has been accused of possessing, producing, and distributing child pornography, WTHR reports. Police stated that a cybertip led to the discovery of the incriminating material on Greenlee's phone.

Working in multiple roles as a varsity baseball coach, a high school teacher, and a middle school teacher, Greenlee, 56, is now to face charges including two counts of child exploitation, which is a Level 4 felony, and three counts of possession of child pornography, corresponding to both Level 5 and Level 6 felonies, based on court documents cited by WANE. In a disturbing revelation, police also learned Greenlee was a senior pastor at Tri-County Christian Church in Middletown.

Kristina Korobov, a senior attorney at the Zero Tolerance Project, highlighted the deceptive nature of such criminals, expressing in a WTHR interview, Today is the first day of school and I think about a lot of parents who will stand with their parents at that bus stop, afraid of a stranger coming to kidnap them, but the reality is their child is way more likely to be sexually preyed upon by a trusted adult in their life, like pastor, like a teacher, like a coach, like a relative.

The investigation confirmed the presence of several images on Greenlee's device and revealed chats on his Kik account where he requested child pornography from other users. Comments on the severity of this issue were furthered by Korobov, urging the importance of "constant conversations with our children about what's going on with them. We need to be letting our children know if anyone touches them, asks for pictures of them, approaches them on the internet, that they can come to trusted people and seek help," she said in her statement to WTHR.
